Museum aan de A - Pop-up

in collaboration with

Located at the Groninger Museum in Groningen (NL), the pop-up exhibition titled “Who Writes History?” is a temporary project developed by Museum aan de A, currently closed for renovation. The exhibition offers a preview of the future museum while presenting highlights from its collection and inviting new audiences to engage with its vision.

Focusing on the history of Groningen and its people, the exhibition combines significant historical objects with personal stories. It encourages visitors to actively reflect on how history is constructed—raising questions about which stories are told, how they are presented, and who gets to tell them.

Conceived as a collaborative and exploratory platform, the exhibition functions as a blueprint for the future Museum aan de A. Through interactive elements—such as installations that incorporate real-time input—it invites visitors to contribute to the ongoing process of shaping and writing history.
